Class ITEC289 Quality
Management
- Mark used
the white board and a PowerPoint presentation followed by a discussion to
teach the subject Customer Driven Quality Management.
- The
class started with Mark asking students if they had any questions from the
previous class.
- Students
were reminded to continue working on their projects for the rest of the
class after the short presentation and discussion.
- A warm
atmosphere with good rapport between instructor and students existed in
the class. Mark used questions and humor to keep students interested.
- When a
student contributed by showing a Presentation from Etisalat, Mark was very
encouraging and welcomed the contribution.
- Mark
used the case of a local company as an example to reinforce learning and
to explore application of the concepts. Students were engaged in a
thinking process through questions about the case during the presentation.
Although the subject is very dry, it was obvious that students were learning
from the lecture.
- Mark
gave the students a copy of the PowerPoint presentation while giving the
presentation. Students were adding their own notes to the handout
throughout and remained involved through interaction.
- The
atmosphere was relaxed and the class was an interesting and useful
learning experience for the students.
- Students
then asked some questions on the course material which were then answered
for the whole class very effectively.
Summary:
Mark provided a very effective lesson
which kept the interest of students alive and which they learned from.
